Pioneering A New Way:
I was just thinking today, what an amazing time we live in. Not only are we pioneering technology but we are also pioneers in the “pot revolution.” We just passed legalization of marijuana after years of propaganda against it. To me this is long overdue. 40 years ago I became a regular user and thought it would be legalized in my early 20’s. There’s been such a stigma about users that I have literally had to be “in the closet” about it my entire life. It’s embarrassing how non smokers perceive “stoners.” I’ve been ridiculed and actually hated by my family for years because of my use, and yet I learned long ago about the health benefits. I’m the only one in my family that doesn’t take antidepressants. I’m the healthiest person in my family. I’ve used it for nausea, cramps, pain, headaches, depression, anxiety etc. It also comforted me when I quit smoking cigarettes and assisted me in quitting drinking and drugs. Today I see it help kids quit heroin, meth and alcohol. To me it’s the miracle drug. It can be used for so many applications. To think, 40 years ago while vacationing in Mexico I was arrested and put in a Mexican prison for 6 months for 3 joints! I am so thankful for today’s awareness and all the brave people that led us here. They are true pioneers.
